I am doing some long overdue maintenance on my 2012 Prius 272,000 miles. The car runs great. I am still getting 50mpg. The connector to the mass air flow sensor might have been brittle. I did not force it, but the connector is damaged. There seems to be 5 wires that connect to the sensor. None are damaged. I think all 5 wires will make a good connection. It seems that the case is all that is damaged. There are two fine strips of metal that I think hold the case together. I circled them with yellow. I am wondering if I need to replace the connector / harness? I have included a couple of pictures of the connector. I included an image of the crud in the EGR pipe. I think I could have gone at least another year before the car left me stranded.

Yes, I would replace that connector housing—just release the five terminals from that one and poke 'em (in the right order :)) into the replacement. They can look up the part number at the dealer parts window.
