Does anyone know how to remove the vertical dash trim piece that trims the air conditioner vent, park button and gear shift lever? Thanks.
Get a little leverage under the bottom edge with a butter knife or something and it'll just pop loose, it's held in by a few clips.
Thanks Evan - I tried that. It seems to be captured by the trim to the left. It seems as if the trim on the left may need to be removed first. Dean

I think you do have to remove the vent cover on the far left, then the dash pieces over/under the steering wheel and then the one where the shifter/park button are. How badly do you need it off? What are you working on. I know there are instructions published with nice photos, but I just don't have time to look it up (at work).
I want to mount a gps receiver on the upper portion of the trim piece and run the power cable under the trim piece.
to get *that* particular piece of trim off, you need to first remove the lower panel under the steering wheel [it's all one big one], and then the upper piece with the power switch. Then the tabs on the shifter/vent/park-button panel are freed up and you can pull it off the same way as the others. Probably helps to pull the center panel underneath the stereo, too, allowing more finger space. Don't worry, none of this stuff is particularly hard to deal with -- just pull straight and limit your motion so you don't wind up bending something sideways when it comes loose -- that's when you might start breaking tabs. . _H*
