I’ve seen videos of people removing the beep warnings via a Bluetooth OBDII tool Using an iPhone app. However, every video I come across is from a 2015 model or older. Can anybody confirm if this will work on a 2016 Prius V generation three?I would rather not have to pay the dealer $120. Any ideas on how to set the car to unlock all the doors by touch for the driver side also would be helpful. Currently at only unlocks all the doors from the passenger side.
I don’t have any information about third-party software, but I can confirm that “Driver Side Seatbelt Warning Buzzer,” “Front Passenger Side Seatbelt Warning Buzzer,” and “Reverse Buzzer” are all listed in the Customize Parameters pages of the Repair Manual (more info) for 2016 Prius v cars as settings that can be changed using a Toyota Techstream diagnostic system. The “Customizable features” section of the Owner’s Manual (PDF), page 578, mentions a setting called “Unlocking operation,” which you can change to “All doors unlocked in first step” using the Entune Audio head unit; see pages 575–576 for the procedure.
