Hi guys, I'm wanting to remove my upholstered door panel inserts so I can leave them at the upholstery place to get covered in some nice leather. I pulled my door panel off today and I see the upholstered insert is held in place by a lot of little plastic looking rivet things. They don't appear to have a screw head on them. I have included photos of them. My questions are: 1. Does anyone know the best way to remove these little rivets? 2. More importantly, how would you reattach the upholstered inserts? Thank you kindly for any advice, RP1
I can't tell from the pictures, but is it a stem that comes out and is melted over the back of the insert? I was considering the same (but will do it myself, since I'm so darn "thrifty")
Yes! That's exactly what it seems like. Removing them should be easy enough, just find some way to cut them. I just wonder about reattaching them. Does anyone have TIS access that could look anything like this up?
