2012 Prius C I want to replace my motor mount on the passenger side due to rust and was wondering if anyone has tackled this and if so, is an engine lift necessary? Thank you.
Motor mounts are one of those parts that can look terrible while being 100% effective. Are you sure it needs to be replaced?
It's such a little engine there's not much issue with the mounts. However, when people have major engine problems it's always thoughts & prayers that it's just a bad engine mount.
Usually you'd use a jack underneath the car to raise/support the engine and replace a mount. I've never done a Prius though.
