It just clips right on. See pic and make sure clipping is aligned to lock into place. BTW, my clear vinyl on the roof is still doing great. I'm hoping it will last 5 years at least. Been good at protecting the hood from bird droppings and chipping. Yellowing might be the only issue and I think there are cleaners for that. But I will change as needed since clear wraps are cheap. Only time and patience required to install correctly.
