The CEL came on last week .. reset .......came back about 500 miles later ... Misfire Cyl #2 and PVC circuit. With 212k --- I'm assuming it needs a new valve. Don't see anything about cleaning just the valve -- I see the tube and the cooler. I have never heard or felt it running rough or missing. Except that crazy rough idle at start up on cold mornings ... although ....... that happened when it was new and has not occurred in a long time. I changed the plugs at 150k. Soooo. Are there any recommended aftermarket PVC valves and coils? It looks like the wiper assembly needs to come off to get easier access to the PVC valve. I was thinking of just replacing the plugs again and doing all 4 coils ..
Have never touched any of it -- looking at the valve I'm not sure it's worth trying to clean. I made a mistake in the original post -- it's the EGR valve.
