Just had the engine replaced in my 2012 Prius V due severe damage from overheating...is there a way to tell visually if the replacement came from a 3rd gen or 4th gen Prius? Thank you
Post a pic, with any plastic, cosmetic covers over the engine removed, to show the bare valve cover. Third and fourth gen are markedly different. Which would you prefer btw? 4th gen transplants have been prone to overheating, fwiw.
