Replacing 2007 Prius back box (Muffler)

    Just bought a new 2007 Prius 3rd party back box (muffler). Can anyone tell me whether it has a gasket to join the mid section to the tail pipe or will a good dab of jointing compound suffice?

    It has a gasket. 32 ft.-lb torque on the two tightening bolts.

    Please post photos of the original muffler and the third party replacement side by side. I also would like to see photos of the corroded areas in the original muffler. Thanks!
