Hey all, I've just turned over 62K on my '05 and on my other cars I've always had my mechanix put in a new fuel filter periodically. Is this an easy (and good idea) preventative maint. item to do on a Prius? Is it DIY-able? I'm also thinking about having the transaxle fluid drained and replaced. Is the Toyota WS fluid the only one to use or are there others that would be ok to use? I'm putting big miles on my car and would like to do some stuff to extend the life of it. I also just added a K&N air filter today. Anyone else put one in and if so did you see any mileage/power increases? Thanks in advance, Joe
it's not really possible, actually. the fuel filter is integrated with the fuel tank. there is no need to change it anyway. no worries! you definitely want to put WS back into the trans when you drain it.
Thanx Galaxee, I can sleep easy tonight!!! I'll get some of the WS for sure. I read on some other post that it's basically a grain and fill deal. I'll find that post and go from there. Thanx again!! Joe <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(galaxee @ Mar 25 2007, 10:32 PM) </div>
