My 06 Prius was rear-ended yesterday. The rear bumper cover shows a 6-inch crack. Got an estimate of $520 to have the bumper cover replaced. Could be more if there is additional damage to the foam and reinforcement under the cover. I've submitted an application for replacement sticker to the DMV today. I wonder if anybody has any experience on replacing the CA HOV sticker. How long does it take DMV to send out the replacement? I hope the wait is shorter for replacement than for new stickers. I waited 2 months for mine! Also, just to tide me over before the replacement stickers arrive, I'm thinking about removing the old ones from the damaged bumper and re-using them on the new bumper. Anyone has done this before? What's a good way to remove those stickers?
