Have you searched? All I find are videos for the cabin filter or for the engine air filter on older generation Prius, not Gen 4.
    I did search, did you?

OK, so I thought your original post was in the Gen III section, but please don't make the error of bothering to reply, since to do so might imply that you think I might give a damn! Have a nice life! ;)

I've not done my Gen 4 one yet, but the Gen 4 airbox is a similar shape to Gen 3 and is a similar process to change, undo clips, loosen big clamp and open the box. But the Gen 4 box is smaller and in a tighter space so I imagine it will be a little bit more fiddly to get the filter in/out.

There was a diagram in the 2G manual, and it wasn't too hard for me to figure it out on the 4G, although it's not quite as easy to do.

Guess they're trying to sell more 2 day subscriptions to the online manuals.

Easy as pie! 2 minutes, Max! Pop those two clips, then move the lid to the right about an inch, and just lift that end up a bit. Slide out the old... Slide in the new... and just drive it!

There is no way I would leave an air filter in the car for 65,000 miles! Are Prius owners too cheap to spend 12 bucks for a nice clean new filter??? NUTS! I drove through Arizona, New Mexico, left-leaning California... and then took a trip up to Big Sky Country, Montana. And my filter(s) were shot after a couple months! Sometimes I will change the engine & cabin filters 3 times a year! Get out and DRIVE that Prius, and have fun! :D You only live once! And DON'T become an old grumpy cheapskate! There is MUCH more to life than Prius chat! :ROFLMAO:)

The engine air filters I bought from Peking Ch work perfect. However the cabin air filters are for the Gen 3. Most sites online have failed to update their data base for the 2016-2017 cabin air filter.

BTW they all were in an OEM box and MIJ.

More be 72k+ miles now still use the original one, wash it with $1 store degreaser then spin on the laundry washer and dryer it with hair dryer and it looks brand new again, I do this to on the cabin air filter. I will only replace when it is broken, I learned this on Toyota Asia. They do this all the time when they don't have stock filters lol

One thing I noticed about the Gen 4 air filter. OMG it is small. Almost the size of a lawnmower filter. But they cost just the same.

Yeah, but they don't seem to be too dirty after a year. Gonna check mine in four more months and then will probably leave it in there for another year.
