Replacing pads and rotors due to wobble

    I've had a wobble upon braking from faster speeds, freeway off ramp or anything over 25-30 mph... I've associated that with warped rotors in the past in other cars.
    So I bought some rotors and pads for front end. After taking the tires off and the position I see plenty of pad left on both sides... If I change the rotor should I also change the pads or leave them be and return the new ones?

    I've attached images of both sides.

    The boots to the struts have broken up and flopping.

    Innmy opinion, you still got some thickness left on both the discs and the pads.

    The problem could be a terrible buildup of rust on the contact surface on the rotor discs might be what's causing the wobbles.

    If its possible, get emery cloth, and sand paper them, or if you want replace them all. New discs and pads.

    It could also be the bearings in the hub assembly that is about to fail, or the wheels not properly tightened.

    I would check the runout on the rotors before replacing them. As @Dxta said, there may be another cause.

    The boots on my wife's '07 have been shredded for a long, long time and the rods are still pristine looking. I don't think I'd go the the bother unless I was in a salty or muddy environment and the struts were new enough to make them worth the effort of putting new boots on without replacing struts along with the boots.

    Since you already have them, go for it! (y) But it does seem odd that it would need even new pads, much less rotors, with so few miles. Unless a brake piston got stuck and overheated a rotor.

    Yeah...was thinking same... This next image is from the right side pads... Is the red grease stain from stock... Or could be replaced before?

    Well no more wobble nor any squeaking at all. Seems to be all good... Guess I'll return the new pads... Still plenty left on others.
