Hey guys, I recently lost my only keys to my Eco 2, and I was an idiot and never asked the dealer to include a spare key in the contract. Right now, I'm actually about 700 miles away from my dealership for a temp job, and I called around to some local locksmiths, and someone claims he'll be able to reprogram a new key for my car for 320 in less than an hour, which honestly sounds too good to be true, especially when I hear that you have to reseed. Is it actually possible to reprogram a new key in that time without waiting the 2 hours for reseeding? I honestly don't care if anyone else has my keys, I won't even be remotely close to where I am now in a week.
idk, but it doesn't seem that cheap, so it's probably not a scam. can you pay him after it is working? have you called a dealer for a price?
