I really don't like the mpg average resetting everytime I turn the key off. Just how it is I guess. Is there anything on the display that we should reset when we put gas in it? Have not figured it out yet. Did find the 2 odometers. I have to admit, I love the simplicity of my ScanGauge. I reset it on each fillup. It has been very close on mpg to calculated mpg. Went to Toyota.com and registered. Did not find much there of benefit except the dealer tuneup/maintenance records. Thanks, Dan loving the car
I use trip 1 for fill-ups and left trip 2 to show my overall mileage since purchase. It is fun to see the mileage slowly climb as I get used to the car.
Ok, so if I reset one trip meter I can keep up with fuel mileage on that tankful and use the other one for the entire trip. That is pretty much how I do it with the Vibe, using the ScanGauge. The instant mileage on the ScanGauge helps me with my driving habits. Wish the Prius computer had that feature, but not important since I have the ScanGauge mounted now in the C. Only had the car 2 days so still trying to figure things out. Have put 200 miles on it just playing and learning. I believe it takes a certain personality type to enjoy a car like this as much as I do. I see many here on this forum with the same type of personality. I am a hotrodder from way back with my very first car sitting in the garage. A souped up 65 Mustang Fastback. Thanks for the help. Dan
