It's on the front page of Yahoo now with this: "Critics target new hybrid Honda's Insight gets 41 miles a gallon and costs thousands less than the Toyota Prius. » What's the problem?" Reviewers Hurl Criticism at 2010 Honda Insight- Yahoo! Autos Article Page I think the "thousands less" is a bit misleading. Sure, the LX is thousands less but is so stripped down that really needs to compare the EX to the 2010 Prius model II where the price gap isn't in the thousands.
If you want a compact car, it would be great if you bought the Insight hybrid. If you want a midsized car, it would be great if you bought the Prius. The attempt to compare the price of a midsize and a compact is ridiculous. Shoot, except for the long list of shortcomings, there's no reason you shouldn't replace your Tahoe for a Smart given the price difference.
