I include the cartoon below out of respect. Jerry himself would have loved it! Can't say that I was a fan of the show, but Jerry himself was whip smart, self deprecating, and seemed to be a genuinely good dude. He owned his defication, and he loved nothing better than a good sacred cow, cooked rare and shared with a laugh. I thought, perhaps from a bio read long ago, that he had a PhD in history, but the wikis credit him with a BA from Tulane (bet THAT was a culture shock!) and a JD. He was a proud Democrat back when being a Democrat was a GOOD thing, and he was a contributor to the local machine until at least 2018. We agreed about little politically BUT he was unafraid to share time and space with political opponents AND he remained a passionate advocate for: Free Speech. Questioning Authority. Poking fun at main-stream-media. So... Thanks for being here, pal. See you topside later. r
