Hi All: Had my Prius for a month now and my daughter named him "Oggy." We are all really enjoying him. Ran him up on a concrete stopper the other day and kinda messed up the front air dam/deflector. Does anyone have a line on where to get a replacement besides a dealer? Much appreciated.
:welcome: Welcome to PriusChat, CU David! With the low clearance of the Prius it's easy to scrape, even going into a driveway. If you need to replace something, check out Metro TPN or Toyota Parts Store. You might also check eBay.
G'day CU David. It may help us give better suggestions if we can see pictures of the damage. It may be repairable or there could be an under-tray that will prevent further damage.
Thanks for the info. By the way, what does Toyota call the matte black plastic piece that is roughed up now? I was down there this morning looking around and it appears to extend back 5-6" and run the width of the front end curving around to the front wheel wells. If anyone knows a name or part number, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Without a picture, I can't tell which part you're talking about. Below is a link to a Toyota OEM Parts online vendor. The page should be an illustration of the various front bumper parts. I'm guessing that you're talking about one of three possible front bumper parts: - Bumper Cover (part #1 in illustration) - Splash Guard (part #17 in illustration) - Spoiler (part #19 in illustration) DiscountToyotaParts
