I just spent over an hour Googling and trying to to get our Samsung J3 Galaxy to connect to our Panasonic KX-TG7624 ... it was ugly! The last change that seemed to fix the problem (suggested via Google search), turn off WiFi. In contrast, our iPhone 5s connected easily which confirmed the Panasonic was working fine.

The first 15-20 minutes were used to get the Panasonic baseline straightened out. I had to reset the PIN from the 'super secret' PIN I'd set before. Then the iPhone connected no problem. So I unpaired and went to the Samsung.

I could see the Panasonic on the Bluetooth search but no PIN worked:
    • "Reset" - no joy
    • Clear cache (various) - no joy
    • Turnoff WiFi - worked!!!!
Finally, phone calls to the home home went through. But I wasted an hour between Google and various tests. <GERRRRR>

This did nothing to improve my interest in any Samsung/Galaxy device.

My last Samsung was a 6 and my #walkaway moment came when I realized that I could roll a Moto (pre Lenovo) and get 90 percent of the hardware and something close to an Android experience without having to make payments for a phone.
LOVE their hardware but you need the 8GB of ram and a mega-core SOC to haul that operating system around, and they’re now following Apple’s lead in non-expandable storage and no 3.5mm audio jack.

My preacher always tells people who think that they might want to answer ‘the call’ that if they can do ANYTHING else that they should do that instead, and this used to be my advice for phone users who wanted to be iphone users.
I’m now leaning the other way and I advise people who are foolish enough to ask that if they can play happily in Apple’s walled garden that they should strongly consider getting a refurbed 6-7 and giving that a try. New Apple buyers can still get a 10r and with the right case most people won’t notice....and it’s a pretty good phone, with a pretty decent camera.

My CFO still rolls an 8+ but I’m now trying to pitch her over the wall INTO the garden for many of the same reasons.
