I was driving on 495 North near the New Hampshire/Massachusetts line on Friday afternoon around 3pm and I saw a new Blue 2010 coming up on my left on the highway. I lowered the window and gave him a big fist pump and beeped for at least a minute. The guy had NY plates and I'm sure he was just as excited to drive his car as I was to see it! Whoever that was...congrats on your new 2010!
Pretty cool, huh? Saw one Friday ... Blue with 15's. Was out driving 4 hrs through the beach towns today. Didn't see one
Saw my first one Saturday in La Jolla, CA. La Jolla is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in the country and you would believe how many Prius owners live there.
To add to my previous post - I couldn't go 5 minutes without seeing at least 1 Gen II Prius traveling the opposite direction, and more often would see them in packs of 2-3. Hence, seeing a 2010 mixed in was a pleasant surprise for a 600+ mile round trip.
Just got back into town and could wait to post this one: I didn't see a 2010 in the wild, but I pulled up right next to a Gen1 with a Gen2 in front of it. What made it so interesting is that I was in a Gen3 (2010). So -- all three models all waiting for the same stoplight.
A few months from now this will be moot but it's still cool to see a 2010 on the road for the first time...kind of like playing that license plate game when you were a kid and finally seeing an Alaska plate!
well, i was pleased to be first in my area when i got my Pri 5 weeks ago... but that feeling has faded...since then, i have seen about a dozen 2010's including 4 JUST LIKE MINE!!.. same color, same options, everything... (bet they dont have lighted door sills!!) now, before you think i have seen the same car multiple times, i was at the farmers market and two were in parking lot just over from mine. another one i see on a regular basis (over the past week anyway) works in the building next to me.
