The Scan button on my XM on my Prius V does not work as intended. When i press it, it scans sequentially to the next 6 or 7 stations, but then goes back to lower numbered stations, and then repeats the cycle over. How can i get the Scan to work like on the FM station, so it scans sequentially from channel 0 to 280 in one shot.
There are two (maybe three?) ways to use scan. From the owners manual: To scan all the frequencies: Touch “SCAN†on the screen briefly. “SCAN†appears on the screen. The radio will find the next station and stay there for a few seconds, and then scan again. To select a station, touch “SCAN†again. To scan the preset stations: Touch “SCAN†on the screen for longer than a second. “P. SCAN†appears on the screen. The radio will tune in the next preset station, stay there for a few seconds, and then move to the next preset station. To select a station, touch “SCAN†again. In addition, I believe that the XM scan function only scans within the category of stations you have selected. If you are in 'rock', then scan only scans the rock stations.
