Getting ready to buy a Scan Gauge II found one here on ebay : eBay Motors: ScanGauge II OBDll Code Reader Scan Gauge X Gauge OBD (item 170209034549 end time Apr-18-08 10:17:24 PDT) My question is are there different types of scan gauge's or will they all work on the toyota prius? I would hate to buy one and then find out it would not work with my prius ..Or maybe you guys have a better place to buy one..Looking for any help ..thanks
There was an older version of the ScanGauge. It worked but it's ugly. AFAIK any ScanGauge II will work with no problem. I have one in my Ranger and it ROCKS!
Swanny, I had the older version and you are right, it was very ugly, and huge! As for the OP's question, yes, they will all work with a Prius. There is a way to get one cheaper but it would be very difficult for you to pick it up. Members of the MiHG(Milwaukee Hybrid Group) can usually get them for, I think, $130. The hard part for you would be picking it up at one of their meetings; they're held in Oak Creek, WI.

Why would you order it on eBay when you can get it right here? Same price. With warranty. And then you get to support this great site too. A site I'm sure you'll use alot. Thats how this site survives....sales and advertising. If you don't see it just email the shop and they'll email you right back. I just received mine about 2 weeks ago. Got a discount too since I have bought alot of stuff from them so far.Must haves for the car are wheelskins and the insulated window shade and the rear cargo mat. There all excellent.
You make a very good point. I was a bit hasty in offering an alternate source when I heard that the SG didn't appear in the "shop" section.:redface: By all means, support Priuschat whenever possible and send that email inquiry to the "Shop" first.
did you not read my last post I have sent an e-mail to Danny and will send an e-mail to the shop..and just so you know I ordered a block heater from them last week...
