I've searched through the Gen 4 topics for 'ScanGauge' and come up with a blank. Does anyone know of any XGauge listings suitable for the Gen 4, please? I am particularly interested in the codes for switching off the reverse beep and front seat belt chimes. The published codes on Priuschat worked for the Gen 3 in the UK, but I can't find anything for the Gen 4 as yet. Many thanks. iPhone ?
Why do car manufacturers keep these codes secret? Right now I know of 3 options. Buy a Carista scan tool and app. Get a miniVCI cable and Toyota Techstream software. Have the dealer do it. I had my car in for its first oil change and asked if they could turn off the multiple reverse beeps. The service manager had no idea. She asked the service tech who said no problem. When I picked it up the tech happened to be in the office and said it was a lot harder than he anticipated. I thought hummm, what the heck does that mean. Anyway I'm down to one beep and they didn't charge me for their secret voodoo.
