OK, I've read about the Scan gauge II, but I just discovered this option: FAQ - OBD2 Scan Tool Frequently Asked Questions | Auterra From a quick read, it appears you can merely use their software and then use a laptop (Windows) or a Palm handheld to receive MORE information than the Scan gauge provides. Has anyone tried this product? Any advantages / disadvantages vs the Scan gauge?
I am using it with the Palm. It doesn't read hybrid related information like the HV battery state of charge. Scanguage can do that.
I want to add a few more info. Auterra can display 5 values on the screen at once. It can do real-time graph in color touch screen. However, it is not as neat as scangage because there are too many wires to hook up. You'll need to power the palm and connect to the adapter which connects to the ODBII port.
