anyone with this issue...I have a 2017 plug in. Recently my battery 12v battery died and changed it. No problem. But after resetting the time and date, my schedule charge doesn't work. I will have to manually go into to Charge Now and click yes for it to charge. Does anyone know the cause and how to resolve. Thanks
1. double check that the correct time and date is entered into the car's ECU. I use 24hrs/military time option, so there's no way to mistake AM vs PM set timing. Dealer entered the wrong date into my ECU, so I had a great time figuring out why my schedule charging was intermittent. . Almost went for the nuclear option, since the dealer claimed they couldn't find or reproduce the problem. 2. Erase all scheduled charging times. Add and test one charging time at time. You can have overlapping times that confuse the processor. When everything goes haywire; it's the last charging schedule you entered that's causing your problems. Erase that one and try again. 3. If your absolutely sure everything is still messed up; reset everything - by disconnecting both the traction battery safety disconnect and 12VDC battery for at least 15-20 minutes. That should bring everything back to factory defaults. This means that the car will run funny for a day, as it relearns all the engine parameters and set points (this is the nuclear option). You'll need to reprogram all your car's settings again, including your phones' blue-tooth connection; if that connection remains - you didn't do a full factory reset. Hope this helps..... PS. forgot to mention, Make sure the car isn't plugged-in - if you go for option #3. This is obvious to me; but possibly not you. Also, wiggle all the plugs while the car is charging and watching the behavior of the power-brick status lamps - loose contacts can seem like the scheduler is acting up.
