So just tooling around the Boston/Cambridge area on various errands today, I think I spotted more Priuses than I've ever come close to before, and several Civic hybrids as well. The '06 models must be hittin' the streets bigtime... nice to see. Maybe their drivers will be showin' up here soon... . _H*
Same over here on the left coast. On January 23rd we were visiting UC Berkeley. There were so many Prii around town that I lost count. It became somewhat of a joke were we shortened the “there's a Prius,†to “there†and finally, “th. .â€
I don't see that many here (TN) besides the two in my subdivision, I might spot one on the road or in a parking lot maybe once or twice a month. (How do I get my dot to show up on the member map?)
I was noticing that. I got mine about 2 months ago. I live in West Michigan. I've seen maybe....5 or 6 since I got mine. I'm visiting a friend in LA right now...I'll see 6 in a 6 minute period. They are freaking EVERYWHERE out here. It is just sick.
31 Homes on my Street - 3 Prius Plus, my neighbor's son has one and he's here all the time. Interesting, 3 out of 4 are silver (the 4th is Seaside Pearl).
My son used to play Prius-no-pinchbacks. He gave up because there are so many of them in northern Virginia (just outside Washington, DC). Just 3 months ago one did not see that many. Now, they are everywhere. While filling my tank 2 days ago, a women at a near by pump mentioned she was jealous of my cars low fuel usage. Looking at her 92' Pontiac Sunfire, I resisted saying "they will sell them to anyone". Instead I just said it still uses gasoline. jrohland
I travel alot around the Hudson Valley... It seems to depend on the area I am in.. Where I live, which is a rural county, not very many. When I travel to the New Paltz or Woodstock area, then sightings are more frequent. On the NY Thruway, one thing suprises me (I was going to say disappoints), just about every Prius goes flying by me doing at 75 & up, as I tool around in my 98 Chev Lumina at about 65.
