Great site, I've enjoyed gathering information and reading the soap opera thread started by Brook Side. I'm looking for something in the $8000 range. The Prius would be replacing a 2002 BMW 3 series which is a great ride but 27mpg and a 50 mile round trip commute is getting costly. I'd be doing all maintenace and repairs myself.

I would have to say the vast majority of the members of this forum actually go out of our way to help people that post questions. You'll be able to find something around your figure of 8k. I paid 6,500 for my 04 with 101k miles on it this past June. Based on my personal experience if you have a question do a search first because the question may have been asked 4 or 5 times in the past. Ryan
