April: Got letter about the price change April update: Still expected on time. April: Got second Toyota letter, just says thanks for waiting. May: Seem to be getting closer. Most ahead of me are waiting for some other package! June: New estimates place car much further away. Aug: Latest estimate by end of year and will be 2005 model. Nov: Have accessories for car ordered or received: -> Sheepskin seat covers. -> Oil drain valve -> heat shield -> Michelin IceX tires on rims -> Garmin 2020 Nav -> EV button -> Set of 2004 Service Manuals Dec 2 Car arrived at dealer Dec 3 Bought the car Dealer applied the $700 rebate from Toyota to the price. Dec 7 Picked up Seaside Pearl from my dealer. First comments after driving for 20 minutes: rear window visibility will definitely take getting used to. Steering seems fine or even better than expected. Brakes feel great. Heater seems extra nice and quiet compared to my old car. Surprised how much the car engine stopped at this temp (32 degrees F) Love the keyless ignition Seats seem comfortable but won't know for sure till I go on a real trip.
