I've got a 04 Prius that I swapped leather seats from a 07. Everything essentially bolted in with the exception of the front passenger seat. The weight sensor on the 07 seats has three wires and the 04 harness only has two wires. (only on the weight/seatbelt sensor the airbag plug harness is the same) My question is if I were to jump the two wires on the 04 harness would it trick the car into thinking there was always a passenger so the passenger side airbags would deploy in the event of an accident? I don’t have small children and obviously if the car’s airbags ever deploy it will be totaled so I’m not concerned of the cost of them deploying in the event no one is sitting there, but want to make certain my passengers have airbag protection in the event of an accident.
