Anyone know how to disable the pesky seatbelt dinger? (Dings about 100 times brfore it goes silent but the light on the panel keeps flashing.) I removed the belts and sold them for drinking money and the dinger is driving me nuts. (Kidding about removal, but not about the annoyance.) Thanks, Bob
That procedure paradox listed work. I did it on my 06. I had to take my 2012 into the dealer to disable them.......no work around
Yeah, Gen II was conveniently done by oneself, on the Gen III it's either have a dealer do it or use a scanguage to make the changes. The instructions on how to do it with a scanguage on a Gen III are on here somewhere as well.
Since I didn't want to spend the $$$ for a scangaugeII (I have the Torque App), I just let the dealer do it......free of charge.
Same here, I never have owned a scanguage and I don't think I will. I just had the dealer do it..... Free of charge.
The OP does not state where he is from. If he lives anywhere away from the north American continent it cannot be done it is only the American/Canadian cars that the chime can be cancelled.
Because I looked in his profile at his previous posts and found that post I supplied a link to, anyone can do that. Nonetheless, it does help when a user fills out their profile stating their location so we can better help them out.
Thanks, I just retraced your rout and found the information half way down the page. Just luck it was there because someone asked where he was located. Would not work every time.
Which is why I said it helps when a user fills out their profile stating their location so we can better help them out. If you want to talk about it start a conversation with me and let's let the thread get back on track Lol.
Ok, I know I'm late to this party, but here in Minnesota, due to the mandatory seat belt use laws, the dealership will not switch my seat belt idiot alarm down to just one "ding". I hate to have to put on my belt, just to drive to my back yard to the shed. Does anyone have a recommendation as to a reasonably priced scan tool that will allow me to change the settings? Or, recommend a state that the dealership will change it, as it says in the manual?
