So I got all the lights and code associated with the inverter pump failure. Just got a call from the Toyota service dept. and the are telling me that they will replace the inverter pump but the codes were generated by a different pump/(valve) in the inverter cooling system and it will cost me 300 to fix. Any ideas what this second pump is?
There is only one pump (the one subject to the Limited Service Campaign) and no valve in the inverter coolant system. Perhaps the failure is with the engine coolant valve? That switches coolant flow between the cabin heater core and the engine coolant heat recovery system canister. Pls post the DTC logged by your car if you wish to confirm exactly what the problem is.
IT was a P0A93 error code. I just got a call from the service writer he said replacing the inverter pump solved the issue. THe secondary he said was the storage 'something' valve. Good news is the recal has fixed the problem, according to them.
