I saw this story Tesla Fires A Shot Across The Bow - Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) | Seeking Alpha in my phone's news feed yesterday, and while at first it seems like another Seeking Alpha hit piece on Tesla talking about the unavailability of the 35K model, it goes on to explain how this could be a very good thing for Tesla and will really hurt BMW and Mercedes. Based on my understanding of the article, Model 3 production of 5K - 10K per week would be enough to steal a sizable portion of 3 series and C class sales, and it wouldn't be unrealistic to think that Tesla could sell at this rate indefinitely just by stealing from BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac, etc.
Unfortunately for the Tesla naysayers, this is not true. The information about the $35K base model in my Tesla account is still the same as it has always been and that is true for other Tesla account holders. Where do these Seeking Alpha bloggers get their information.......oh wait , from billionaire short seller Jim Chanos who compensates them! Seeking Alpha articles are unreliable at best and outright lies at the worst.
"Luxury" - different meaning to different folks. We've had MB, Range Rover, Model X, S, Porsche & Lexus over the years. They've all had their arguably bad & good points. The bad points will make you feel like the vehicle on average, was worth 20%-30% less than you pay - especially because you pay a lot. The Lexus doesn't get the highest magazine owner satisfaction marks - but our experience w/the AWD hybrid SUV was great (except for the damnable ECU controlled - 4wheel alignment that ate tires like nobody's business ) .
Believe me @orenji you don't want to see them. UGLY! But don't believe me, look them up for yourself.
