Hi folks, I took the course the first time it was offered: Introduction to climate science Provides the basic facts and data missing from 'point' news reports or papers Review of climate denier tactics and fallacies Effective rebuttals Not to change a denier's mind, rather to provide a cogent explanation for the curious I found the course useful and 'got my certificate'. It took 7 weeks of 3-4 hours study like the short-courses Universities offer for adult education and specialized subjects. I took the course because I live in Huntsville AL, home of Dr. Christie and Dr. Spencer, two world-class, climate deniers. Some of their students think because I drive a Prius, I'm "green" when I'm really just fascinated by these wonderful machines. Regardless,, here is the announcement: Greetings Denial101x students, Today we’re happy to announce that we have launched a second run of Denial101x. This version of the course is self-paced, which means that the course will be open until the end of June next year and all materials will be available at any time during that period. This also means that if you started the first version of Denial101x and couldn't complete it, you now have another opportunity to participate and earn a certificate. You can work through the course at your own speed. To enrol in the new version of the course, visit the new registration page on edX. We would encourage you to share this new, self-paced version with others who you think might enjoy the course. We’d also like to share the video that we compiled at the end of the first run of Denial101x using student submitted videos. It was amazing to see how Denial101x impacted people all over the world. We were particularly excited about educators adopting our videos in their classes, or even redesigning their courses based on the psychological research we presented.
