I asked in another thread but didn't get an answer. Is the Shark Fin Antenna available for the classic Prius?
Thanks for the link. I looked at the site and unfortunately they only make them for 2004 and up. I'm wondering if anyone has put one on from an 04?
I have wondered about the Shark Fin's -- and any other fin antenna for that matter -- claimed exclusivity to certain model/make cars. The issue is simple: does the curvature of the base of the fin match the curvature of the car roof. Seems like you could find a post '04 car and take a quick tracing or template of the roof and compare it to your car. Because the Shark Fin is installed over the OEM antena base, it's not all that svelt; it's a little too fat, long, and tall when compared to similar units on...lets say BMW or Lexus. One of these other antennas might look a whole lot better. That is, only if the antenna mates with the antenna wiring in the car; it is an amplified signal. Sorry, I'm not one of the EE smart crowd. I just wonder about things like this from time to time... like when in a l-o-n-g no arrows glide.
