Yes, according to New Car Features. “Maintenance required soon” appears at 4500 miles, and “Maintenance required” appears at 5000 miles.

 

I'm pretty sure yeah. US oil change interval is 10K miles (or 12 months, which the maintenance minder is clueless about), but there is still a 5K service interval, basically tire rotation.

 

The 5k reminder is there on the RX450h. The wife asked me how to turn it off and i asked her if she read the manual.

She wasnt a fan of that response.

So i went out and reset it.

 

It's a solution in search of a problem, especially if your months are coming ahead of miles.

 

Wives can be like that sometimes.

I liked the little touches on that show, like the pot belly stove that had more smoke leaking into the room than going up the chimney.
