I have an airbag CEL blinking on one of my cars. I assumed it was a disconnected/broken front sensor because it had been in a front collision. But, while detailing the interior this weekend, I noticed that the yellow airbag harness wasn't connected on the front passenger seat because it's not an airbag seat. I must have swapped in a different seat (I've had this car for years). I've not pulled the codes but was reading the service manual and confirmed that OPEN circuit to that seat is one of the DTCs that causes the light to blink (vs staying on all the time). So, I think that's my problem and I need to make that light turn off to pass inspection. Is there a way to hack that harness to make the ECM assume it's connected?
