Does anyone know whether the 2006 Prius in America will have the side marker lights and "hybrid" badge on the sides of the car just in front of the side mirrors? You can see them on the picture posted here: http://priuschat.com/2006_toyota_prius.html But that's the Japanese model. Also, I haven't seen anything about side marker lights or badging in the 2006 press releases, which can be found here: http://pressroom.toyota.com/search?st=kw&criteria=MY06+Prius Anyone know?
Side indicator lights: No. Not required by any State or Federal DOT and as such is not put on U.S. market cars. If you take close notice, the only vehicles in the U.S. with side markers are those that come that way from the manufacturer, such as VW and Audi or folks that like to do aftermarket "upgrades". Badging will remain the same for 2006 model year.
