I have a a new 2010 IV model. I have a few queastions that I just do not understand.
    1) When I come to a stop and then press down on the brake firmly (after stopped) the skid light starts blinking and ultimately beeping. If I take my foot off the brake while stopped it stops blinking?? Why is this happening?
    2) I was driving home last night and put on the lights and they do not seem to light up the road very well. I had to turn on the bright lights to be able to see more than a few feet in front of me.
    3) A basic question-- when should I have my first oil change?

Thanks so much for your help.

    TMAC,

1). Your applying the brakes too hard and what your doing by pressing so hard on the brake pedal is activating the HILL START ASSIST. Check your manual for the details.

2). Your lights should be aligned fairly well but you could have the dealer check the height of them to see if they could increase them slightly. There is an adjustment screw on the housing that would need to be adjusted to raise them, as well as lower them.

3). Oil change in my opinion, should be at 5,000 miles. Although Toyota has increased the standard oil change frequency to 10,000 Miles, I especially think you should have the first Oil Change performed at 5K. Reason is to get rid of the engine brake in, finite metals, etc.

    Hope that helps!
    :)
