SKS antenna issue

    I've got a 3rd generation Prius. With both my keyfobs, I can only start it if I hold the key close to the start/stop button and then press the button. If I have the key just in my pocket or in the middle console, the car won't start.

    The dealer told me that it should not be like this, and tried to fix it but failed.

    I think the problem might be that the antenna on the receiver end, in the dashboard, is somehow disconnected or broken. Does anybody recognize this problem and/or know where to check?

    when the fob battery is too low, you have to hold it up to the button. did the dealer tell you that?
