Hey All, Went to the DC car show today, had several 2011 Priuses as well as a Prius V and a Prius C. I did note one nice change to the 2011, there is a piece of brushed stainless trim down the bottom of the doors with "Hybrid" embossed in the back end of that trim on the rear doors, similar to the trim you see on the new Lexuses. I thought it did a lot to spruce up the car. Other than that everything was carried over. Liked the Prius V too...
I'm sure its just adhesive tape. Could be an accessory, but every Prius at the show had it, there were 5 maybe.
check www.toyota.com it's called a lower rocker molding. Would be idiotic if they put it on every car. I wouldn't want it.
Doesn't mean it's a new change for 2011. They could've just put the accessory on all of them for the show.
It does look nice on a darker car. I am tempted to get it, but it is kinda redundant because we have a pretty big "HYBRID" emblem on the side of the car already. The HS250 has this molding, but it does not have "HYBRID" emblem like we do. So, i am holding off on the molding.
You can always remove the Hybrid emblem thats on there from the factory and use this trim. I think the trim really dressed up the car.
Not a bad idea if you're really into that accessory. I agree having two Hybrid emblems on the same side is overkill.
Yes, and it will certainly throw off the balance and wear tires on that side more than the other side.
