if one turns off the smart entry, does the lock- unlock button on the fob still work? Relevant due to parking at airport so want to disable the smart entry
Everything on the fob works when you turn off smart entry/start. You can lock and unlock the car. Until you turn it back on, you'll have to put the fob in the dash in order to drive it. I turn it off when I give it to a valet and have never had any trouble with it working like a normal fob. I usually turn it back on immediately, I can't get used to putting the fob into the dash ... that's just so 20th century!
