Does anyone know if its possible to upgrade a Prius V III to the 3-door smart key setup that the Prius V 5 comes with? Has anyone done that? I would like to have the feature that you can open the back hatch without taking the key out of your pocket!
i believe there are 2 possibilities. an aftermarket product, or oem. there are threads here on both if you search, i don't remember the details, but the aftermarket wasn't quite as versatile as the oem. on the other hand, the oem was a major installation challenge with removal of the total interior to wire up the missing antennae. all the best!
