Alright, so I'm going up the local mountain this weekend. It usually won't be a problem since it's plowed and sanded. The issue is that there's a forecast for rain this weekend which means snow on the mountain roads. Now, the reason why I don't have a set of winter tyres is that I rarely drive up the mountains during the winter (heck, this is the first time ever). I'm wondering if there a places that 'rent' out snow tyres (or is it too difficult to track tyre wear and stuff?). If not, what's the best approach? Park the car and take the shuttle bus up or just tough it through and hope that the snow doesn't accumulate too much on the road?
