I was managed to go Toyota dealership last weekend. However they do not have Prius on display yet. So I asked when could I see one and sale person told me there is one Prius in their garage, which on ready to display next weekend. Why I asked to sale person and told me its not officially introduced to public yet? What? Anyway sales person was kind enough he show me the car but he wont let me take a pics… For my personal opinion for Good and Bad For good / Like. Back seat hip pont is reduced 2inches. New head light design Chrome insert from grill. It work for darker color car. For Bad / dislike New textured interior panels design. Personaly I hate it! totaly feel like surrunded by cheap plastics. They should kept the original interior panels. Color Personaly I do not like new red, I think Red Mica is much better color. Silver is much lighter shade than before (infor from other Prius owner) New details did not find on Pictures There is small design detail has added to tail light. Gray interior is much darker than before.
Sounds like they moved the rear seat forward so a tall person in the back doesn't hit the roof like it does now.
Is that what you meant? It sounded like you meant the whole car. So, it's either that, or they reduced the thickness of the cushion, or they lowered everything in that area.
How is the upgraded audio/video system? Do the Japanese also get the AUX input and the backup camera? Or have you already had that? That's about the only thing I want in a new Prius, aside from improved rear visibility. (I have a 2004 Canadian Prius.)
Sorry NuShrike, I mean the rear seats were lower, not the whole car. The Japanese can get a TV tuner and DVD capability. We're stuck with MP3/WMA and AUX Input. Also, the only other upgrade is the backup camera but that's attached to the Navigation Package (Package "C") which is annoying. Also, unlike the US, we don't get bluetooth with the JBL audio.
