The 2010 Prius now comes with Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tires. However, they have a different tread design then the ones consumers can purchase (it is similar to the tread design on the Integritys that come on the 2nd gen Prius). It has a treadwear rating of 560, traction A, temperature B, with a max sidewall of 44 PSI. Thought you all might find this interesting.
Japanese 'Goodyear' tyres are made by Toyo, or so I recall reading somewhere. It's been reported that the fuel economy of the 'Integrity' tyres fitted as OE on Gen 2 (actually Toyos) is better than aftermarket replacements made by Goodyear.
Interesting... didn't know that. I did see "Made in Japan" on my Integritys and thought that was odd but didn't think much of it.
