    A new device to monitor energy usage and CO2 emissions through a hand held powered orb that changes colored lights and includes a digital meter is being introduced. I think it's pretty cool but mainstream America would never embrace it until maybe the Greenland ice sheet is completely melted. Thoughts?

    If this works miners won't need to stock up on canaries. It'll probably be a bigger hit at the D&D or comic book conventions.

    This performs essentially the same function as a Kill-O-Watt meter (though admittedly this has far more of a 'cool' factor.) So since I already use a Kill-O-Watt, my answer to your questions is a qualified 'yes'.
