Here's my decision choices. The base price may change but the way the prices increment should be about right and that is what I am trying to figure out. Level 3 base is $24k. Level 3 with solar roof brings it to $25.5. Level 3 with after market leather (heated) seats is about $25.5. Level 3 with solar roof and after market leather (heated) seats is $27K. Level 4 includes leather without solar is $27.5K. Level 4 includes leather and then a solar roof and nicer sound and display projected on screen $30K. So if my goal is to have a Prius with a solar roof and heated leather seats I could save $3K with the Level 3 solar roof and after market seats. I plan to keep the car for awhile and can afford the extra 3K. Just wondering if it's worth it?
If the leather seats are like the Clazzio ones then I'd go with the Level 3 w/ solar and aftermarket seat.
What climate do you live in? Due to the exhaust gas recirculation, the Prius engine does heat up moderately quicker than you might be used to. That's not to say heated seats aren't needed, but it does help.
I have the level 4 - only have had it a couple of weeks - but for me well worth the extra money for the solar panel, heated Softex seats, rocking sound system and head-up display!
