Sound System Volume Control Failure

    Has anyone else experienced an occasional failure of the volume control on the sound system? It's happened twice in my 2005 Prius Pkg 7; when it does, neither the steering wheel control nor the nobs on the dash have any effect on the system volume. I have solved the problem by shutting down and restarting the car. Does anyone know of a service bulletin on this anomaly?

    This happened to me. Dealership replaced the MFD. It only happened once, and went away when I restarted the car. It's been almost a year, and seems to be fine now.
