OUCH. We've had our 2007 for all of 6 weeks, and are loving it. Yesterday while loading up the dogs through the rear hatch, one of them missed that great big opening, and the bone-head shattered the clear lens over the tail-light. There MAY have been some illegal contact with the bigger dog who jumped at the same time, but instant replay was inconclusive.

For my old 4-runner, I could find simple parts like that all over the web discounted from dealer/bodyshop prices. But can't find any with prius parts in stock what-so-ever!

I need driver's side lens--anyone have any links, sources, or ideas?

Also, anyone having any trouble with those tail lights being fragile or in a vulnerable location? Are there any guards available? Besides him being a rather energetic dog, the fact that it was -5 F may have contributed to the brittleness of the plastic this time.

The good news is his head is fine, and we're still at 45 mpg halfway through the tank, despite the cold.

With Denver enjoying its worst winter in decades (Storm #4 in 4 weeks just blew out of here an hour ago)we keep saying "what a year to trade 2 SUV's for 1 prius", but other than clearance on unplowed streets, it feels MUCH safer in the snow and ice than any 4x4 I've driven!

Some members have written of having good experiences with Hoy Fox - Toyota and Lexus. They seem to discount parts (~20%), but I could only find a complete tail lamp assembly, not just the lens.

Excellent, thank you very much! I've written them to see if individual parts are available and to ensure that 2006 parts will work for the 2007 (I think tail lights changed from 05 to 06 but stayed the same for 07?).

Hopefully was a freak incident, otherwise either the mutt's going to be wearing a nerf helmet from now on, or he just doesn't get to go on road trips . . . !

If you need another quote, drop me an email via the Contact link at the top of the page. I can normally get the Toyota OEM parts pretty cheap.
