Say I tap the power button without stepping on the brake in order to activate the cigarette lighter/12v outlets (sorta like the "auxiliary" ignition switch position on other cars). Does the power come from the 12v battery, or from the traction battery? If the latter, does the overhead of the inverter mean it won't last long? Does it stay on when you get out of the car? Does it shut off after some period? The context is I'd like to charge my phone while camping out.
The power comes from the 12V battery. The traction battery is -fully- disconnected until in "ready". You run the risk of draining the 12V battery. You -can- buy solar chargers for cell-phones, or you can plan ahead and charge the battery when you're driving.
